Hailey Bieber's rep just shut down reports that Justin Bieber is waiting for the sale of Rhode to go through before paying Scooter Braun $31 million. TMZ originally reported that Justin "will not have to ante up until money from the sale of his wife's Rhode beauty company hits their bank account" and that it's a "key provision" in his and Scooter's settlement. The outlet also notes that the Rhode is being sold for around $1 billion, and due to Justin being an investor, his cut is around $50 million.
So, what did Hailey's rep have to say? They told the Daily Mail that "The historic sale of Rhode is a huge accomplishment for Hailey and is completely separate from her husband and his business affairs."
A source previously told the Daily Mail that Hailey will be shifting her focus to Skylrk now that Rhode has sold (Note: she's still Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation at the beauty brand.). "Hailey sold Rhode to E.l.f. for a massive payday," they said "She is now turning her full attention to SKYLRK. In the coming weeks you will see her doing more cross-promotion for this. She's helping him in creative strategy and even product development. It's a calculated shift."
They added that Hailey "built Rhode into a billion-dollar brand, cashed out at the peak, and now she's using that momentum to help launch Justin's next chapter. She is trying to be a mogul, and she is on her way."
